Simone Govender is a Durban-born songstress. She started piano lessons at the age of five and picked up the guitar when she was fourteen. It was then that she realised that she wanted to make music for a living.

One of our national treasures is on the verge of celebrating his 90th birthday – Archbishop Desmond Tutu will reach that milestone on the 7th of October.  And true to character, he wants everyone else to benefit from his special day.

In honour of his landmark birthday, the Desmond and Leah Tutu Foundation is hosting an art auction to benefit the Tutu Legacy Fund, called Art for the Arch.  The event is being held in collaboration with auctioneers Strauss and Co and with the French Embassy in South Africa.
