So, a friend sent me this wild video about Sex Magick in Ancient Egypt—think high-frequency orgasms blessing crops and rituals to energize pyramid stones. The podcaster goes deep into how ancient Egyptians supposedly used sex magic for everything from political power to stone quarrying. 

Now, I’ve skimmed through some esoteric teachings, mostly from Drunvalo Melchizedek, and his "ankhing" and sacred geometry, blending ancient wisdom with his channeled insights. Think Taoist energy practices with a New Age twist—who am I to judge? I’m knee-deep in a class on Mary Magdalene’s Sex Magick of Isis myself!

Is there any truth to this? Who knows! But with theories as wild as Bentov’s about rocks gaining consciousness, and Kundalini experiences driving Chance to Egypt, I’d say—why not entertain the possibility? Whether it’s legit or just another tall tale, there’s no denying the magnetic pull of these ancient mysteries.

McKenna believed in the power of poetry to evoke profound shifts in consciousness and perception, probably because of its ability to convey complex emotions, experiences, and ideas in a deeply resonant and evocative manner.  His phrase "deeply bardic” suggests to me poetry that is not merely decorative but rather deeply rooted in storytelling. Bards were revered as custodians of wisdom, culture, and spiritual insight…. So I think he meant poetry that is imbued with wisdom, insight, and a sense of the sacred—poetry that speaks to the fundamental truths of human existence and has the potential to awaken humanity to its highest possibilities, poetry direct from the mushroom realms itself.  This is what Shonagh does, and is what this interview is about!
