Unless Christ returns first, we all face death, but believers do not sorrow as those who have no hope. We need comfort in the face of death. We need to comfort one another in the face of death. We need to comfort one another with certain sweet truths in the face of death, and here the apostle gives us the truths we need in order to do so.
