Jim fills us in on a big event he put on this past weekend at the Hotel Northland to celebrate its 100th anniversary. The money raised from the event will help the New Community Shelter in Green Bay. And Joe Aulik from the Veterans Services Office of Brown County joins to talk a bit about Veterans Day and some of the services they offer.

Tim Cody joins from the Fox Valley Veterans Council and talks about their services to our local servicemen and women. The Council is also putting on a Veterans Day Event. Tim says one of the most significant issues for Veterans in the Fox Valley is homelessness. Veterans are getting priced out of their homes and apartments. But Tim also says that the Fox Valley is a wonderful community that is always willing to step up and help. If you know a veteran who could use a little assistance, reach out to Tim and the crew at the Council.

Yaw Asare from Gold Coast Candy sticks around (even though his candy doesn't stick to your teeth) to talk more about his story. It includes how he connected with the Wisconsin TV show Project Pitch It. It's a Shark Tank-type show for Wisconsin entrepreneurs. His product and his pitch earned Gold Coast Candy a $5000 prize. Yaw also has his sights set on growing his candy business...things are looking good! The Fox Cities Chamber is promoting that local entrepreneurs can get more details about the current season of Project Pitch It on their website. Then we talk men's college basketball with St. Norbert coach Gary Grzesk. He gives us a glimpse at the upcoming team and season. He also talks about the NIL.

It is a Trucker Thursday, and we celebrate with an excellent trucker playlist! Then, the guys welcome Yaw Asare, who owns Gold Coast Candy. His family is from Ghana, he was born in Germany, moved back to Ghana and then moved to Appleton to go to Lawrence University. After working in various industries, he ended up in banking but always had the entrepreneurial bug. He brought his love for a special kinda of Ghana peanut brittle and found a market here. His story is so incredible we keep him around for the next hour.
