A reminder to me: it's okay to take a pause to figure out what's going on.
A forcible reminder to me: DO NOT DESPISE THE DAY OF SMALL BEGINNINGS.

I am not a growly person by nature, so it surprised me to have something like that come out of me. What was going on?
The needed ideas, in the midst of the ups and downs of life.
And the full quotation of Matthew 11:28-30, from The Message: "Are you tired? Worn out? Burned out on religion? Come to me. Get away with me and you’ll recover your life. I’ll show you how to take a real rest. Walk with me and work with me—watch how I do it. Learn the unforced rhythms of grace. I won’t lay anything heavy or ill-fitting on you. Keep company with me and you’ll learn to live freely and lightly.”

Responsive prayer? Attentive prayer? Lived prayer? Walking-with-God prayer? Fun to consider, but in the end: a different choice.
Does that make me a good communicator or a fool? Pushing through to find identity from the Lord. (And little error correction: Miss Bates shows up in Emma, not Pride and Prejudice. I should have said, "Jane Austen's character.")
It took six years of asking: Lord, what should we be measuring? But one day, the answer came!
