Sonia is an accomplished competitive dancer and in 2005, after winning several competitions, she fulfilled her dream of owning a business by founding Sonia's World of Dance. It soon became one of Houston’s premier dance studios and continues to flourish today.
In addition to several other awards, Sonia has been awarded for Woman Entrepreneur of the Year by the Indo-American Chamber of Commerce, as well as being a finalist in the National Association of Women Business Owners Optimist Award.
Along with having served as a judge for a number of dance, beauty, and fitness competitions, Sonia has also been a spokesperson for a female focused nutrition company for many years. Sonia has also starred on channel W.E. in reality shows.
With others, Sonia has pioneered the use of dance as therapy for marriage counseling, grief counseling, improving self-esteem, and wellness awareness programs.
