There seems to be a push to accept viewpoints that are not Biblical, simply because the culture teaches us to do this? Why is this? Even more importantly, what are some ways we can get more of God's perspective and thus know and operate out of the truth of Scripture rather than going along with the crowd?

Getting God's perspective on life is indeed a lifelong process. Often we let the world influence us and just "go along to get along." If we live life according to God's blueprint, seeking and applying His wisdom from His inerrant Word, blessing will  follow.  But often our views of what is right and wrong are shaped more by culture than by God's Word. We must seek to be transformed by the renewing of our mind rather than conform to the world's standards (Romans 12:2).
