Dr. Richard Spann is the previous director of the Kansas Communities Ministry with the Navigators. He has written a series of devotionals called "Goads and Nails" which are a collection of timeless truths the Kansas Communities Ministry has been privileged to have been taught over the years.

Today he shares some important truths about prayer, the need for prayer, the challenge of prayer, the fact that prayer IS the ministry and that we should talk to God about men and women as much or more than we talk to men and women about God.

He lived for a time in a concentration camp and subsequently was forced to return to his home as a young boy to work as slave labor. God was teaching Willie many things through these experiences.
