Having experienced gun violence in her own family, Holly is a dedicated activist for gun reform, using both her voice and her writing to advocate for change. She has worked for Everytown, Moms Demand Action and Women Against Gun Violence, lobbying for stronger gun laws both locally and in DC, meeting with members of Congress, speaking at City Hall as well as at rallies, in schools, churches and temples. Her work as an activist has been covered on NPR, PBS, The BBC, Al Jazeera and Rolling Stone.

She also served on the Gun Violence Policy Committee for the Biden campaign, and currently serves on the advisory board of Survivors Empowered. Her motivation is to end gun violence and create a better future for her three children.

A Life of Legendary Guitar with Studio Musician/Artist Lee Ritenour Lee Ritenour is an American guitarist whose career has spanned across genres. He has been a prominent figure in music since the late 1960s, after being inspired by legends such as Wes Montgomery as a young musician. Ritenour studied classical guitar at the University of Southern California. Throughout his extensive career, Ritenour has collaborated with Barbra Streisand, Pink Floyd, Carole King, B.B. King, Bette Midler, and so many more. His work garnered him 16 Grammy nominations, and one win! For Lee, there aren't many 'firsts' left to achieve.

During his dazzling five-decade career, this LA born guitarist has taken his music through every genre... from rock, jazz, pop and pretty much everything in between. Ritenour's accolades include: 45 albums, 16 Grammy nominations, Alumnus of the year at USC, Los Angeles' Jazz Society Honoree (2019), plus thousands of sessions with legends such as Frank Sinatra, Pink Floyd, B.B. King, Steely Dan, Fourplay, and Tony Bennett, among others.

Touring Drummer Tom Brechtlein on Touring for Chick Corea and Wayne Shorter

Tom Brechtlein grew up in East Meadow, Long Island and gravitated to drums after listening to the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, the Who, Cream and the Jimi Hendrix Experience. In junior high, his attention turned to big band jazz, and he became attracted to the music of the Thad Jones-Mel Lewis Orchestra. His investigation of jazz led him to Dave Brubeck's drummer Joe Morello and then to modern giants like Elvin Jones and Tony Williams as well as legends like Papa Jo Jones, Max Roach and Philly Joe Jones.

"When I was 18," he recalls, "I saw Chick Corea's Return To Forever on PBS Television; and I remember sitting there thinking, '"I'm going to play with that guy someday.'" Two years later, in 1978, he auditioned with Corea and got the gig. He remained in the band till 1983, at which point he joined Wayne Shorter's band. There followed extensive road work with guitarist Al Di Meola and violinist Jean Luc Ponty before Tom finally hooked up with Robben Ford in 1986. Tom plays Yamaha Drums, Remo Drum Heads, Sabian Cymbals, Regal Tip Sticks, Meinl Percussion and Shure Mics.

Picking Brains and Teeth with Clinician/Artist/Scientist/Mentor Dr. Richard Stevenson

Richard G. Stevenson III, DDS, FAGD, FACD, is a board-certified operative dentist, one of roughly 80 in the country certified by the American Board of Operative Dentistry. He has taught since 1992, including 26 years on the faculty of the UCLA School of Dentistry, where he chaired the Division of Restorative Dentistry for 17 years and holds the title of Professor Emeritus of Clinical Dentistry. David Greenberger: How to Become a Comic Book Creator/Radio Personality? Work at a Nursing Home

Born in 1954 in Chicago, Illinois, David Greenberger was raised in Erie, Pennsylvania. In 1974 he moved to Boston to attend the Massachusetts College of Art. In the early eighties Greenberger set aside painting to explore other media. Starting as a periodical in 1979, based on his conversations with nursing home residents, The Duplex Planet, evolved into audio works, both as recordings and performances with music. A musician as well, Greenberger was the bass player in the band Men & Volts through the '80s, co-writing many of their songs.

Greenberger has consistently drawn on fractured narratives where emotional memory derives from the mood of the moment. Encompassing recordings, performance, drawing, and books, his work holds up a mirror to reveal that aging is not a broken version at the end of a life lived; it's a continuum, a vital and up-to-date version of the self. In his return to drawing over the last decade, he delves into accidental poetics and limitations and rules, using circular causal approaches.

Greenberger has been the subject of four documentaries, and his work been adapted into comic books, short films, and one act plays. He has created new works of monologues + music as commissions and during artists residencies around the country. His essays and performances have frequently been broadcast on National Public Radio. He's been a keynote speaker at universities, museums, and conferences on aging. He lives and works in upstate NY.

Life of a Touring Vocalist with Laura Jane Jones

Laura Jane Jones is originally from just outside Detroit, Michigan. She is multi-ethnic and was adopted into a multi-ethnic family. From a young age she had a world view which stemmed from her family being comprised of asians, caucasians, african americans and latinos. Her adopted father was a white man and a civil rights activist who became a federal judge appointed by Jimmy Carter. Her father denounced the Catholic Church and her adopted mother is Buddhist. She grew up listening to jazz, latin, jazz, salsa and R & B mostly. Laura Jane Jones grew up doing mostly musical theatre, she studied dance, and piano for many years as a youngster, performed in multiple musicals growing up. She went on to study musical theatre at the Boston Conservatory of Music and got a degree in music and theatre at the University of the ARTS in Philadelphia.

Now living in Los Angeles, Laura Jane Jones has toured extensively as a featured vocalist for Enrique Iglesias. She also toured with Joe Cocker's last tour and is featured on his last DVD that he recorded. She was one of the first females to ever record with Aerosmith and is featured on their album called MUSIC FROM ANOTHER DIMENSION. She also has recorded, toured and performed with many others such as Kelly Clarkson, Billy Ray Cyrus, The Black Eyed Peas, Katharine Mcphee, Lea Michelle, Dave Matthews Band, Perry Farrell with Satellite Party, Nicole Sherzinger, the late great Teena Marie, Joss Stone and Micheal Bolton, Vintage Trouble, Adam Lambert, Miles Mosely and Fantastic Negrito.

She sang in the house band for the Music Cares special honoring Dolly Parton that was on Netflix, and has appeared on numerous television shows including the Oscars in 2020 singing in the choir for Cynthia Erivo, also with Carrie Underwood on her HBO Christmas Special called the GIFT, The Elvis Presley Tribute on NBC with Carrie Underwood and Yolanda Adams, and on BET Quincy Jones's 85th Birthday Special with Yolanda Adams and Gloria Estefan. Paul Mirkovich Paul Mirkovich is a Los Angeles native and has been the band leader, keyboardist and duet singing partner for Cher for the last 16 years. Paul has also served as musical director/keyboardist for Pink, Janet Jackson, Christina Aguilera, Hilary Duff, Anastacia and countless artists. He has been a member of the multi-platinum bands Whitesnake and Nelson, and also performed and recorded with Peter Gabriel, Shawn Colvin, Paul Stanley (from KISS), Celine Dion, Smokey Robinson, Mary J. Blige, Ellie Goulding, Ryan Tedder and Ariana Grande.

"Making It' with Movement & Sports Injury Specialist Dr. Richard Fox

A chiropractor since 1984, Dr. Rick Fox was soon onto his pathway to become a chiropractic sports physician. In 1992, Dr. Fox was conferred the 16 th person in his profession to receive the highest degree a Diplomate in Athletic Injuries. Affectionately dubbed Dr. Rick, by the L.A Derby Dolls, he has worked with the medical tents of the pro-beach volleyball players, Olympic medalists, pro, elite and world class athletes, and was the founder/medical director for the Los Angeles Derby Dolls, Doll Repair Team.

In addition to working with athletes, Dr. Rick who has played guitar since the age of 8, has the pleasure of working with a multitude of touring bands, this eventually led to Dr. Fox getting his certification as an advanced movement specialist. Based on his understanding of movement, he created, designed ,and patented, Second Knee, one of the first knee braces based on anatomy and Sonic tool, his second patent where he combined the therapies of ultrasound, gua-sha and movement. In addition to his practice, he is now travelling around the country teaching Doctor's of Chiropractic, Physical Therapists and Athletic Trainers on how to use the Sonic Tool. He currently resides in New Mexico where he and his fiancé enjoy hiking and recreation. A lover of Nature led Dr. Rick to live in community for 10 years in Washington where he learned a great deal about farming, gardening, and creating wetland projects.

Stepping Out of "Frank's Shadow" with Novelist/Screenwriter/Radio Host Doug McIntyre

Doug Mcintyre is the former host of Mclntyre In The Morning, a talk show on KABC 790 Los Angeles. He retired after 22 years in broadcasting on December 14, 2018. Mclntyre is a long-time columnist for the Southern California News Group which includes the Los Angeles Daily News.!21 He is the author of Frank's Shadow, his debut novel, published in July, 2023.

"I stumbled into radio 20-years ago and have kept on stumbling ever since. I'm in year 10 hosting McIntyre in the Morning on 790 KABC in Los Angeles, heard weekdays at the ungodly hours of 5-10 AM (Pacific). That's not a typo. Five hours of me prattling on about whatever.

Growing up in New York I was part of Shep's Army, a generation of kids who snuck a transistor radio under our pillows at night so we could listen to the great radio raconteur, Jean Shephard. As a kid I wanted to be Jean Shepherd. I still do.

When I say I "stumbled" into radio I'm not exaggerating.

In 1993 I was a guest on The Ray Briem Show on KABC to talk about a cover story for American History Illustrated magazine I had written about the Wright Brothers. My scheduled one-hour guest shot lasted four hours. While driving home I thought, "What a fantastic gig! Where else can you ramble on for hours about the kind of esoteric crap I love?" Amazingly, after Ray retired, I was offered his overnight shift.

I called the show Red Eye Radio thinking it would create a cool night flight vibe. I quickly discovered the name had a double meaning since half the listeners were either drunk or stoned. Still, they seemed to like the eclectic mix of current events, history and in-studio performances by mostly jazz musicians, many of whom were also drunk or stoned. Amazingly Red Eye Radio became the #1 overnight show in Los Angeles."
