  • CAN I BE A FULL-TIME EMPLOYEE AND ENTREPRENEUR?

Many would say it's impossible, a mere dream, a pie-in-the-sky mentality... but I'm here to encourage you, Mama. You can work full-time and build your business and raise your kids and love your husband AND take care of yourself.

Never limit yourself! If you have a vision for your life that doesn't include the 9-5, that ditches societal norms, that allows you to achieve everything you've ever wanted and more, then manifest it. My husband and I have both worked full-time and built businesses simultaneously - my husband is still working full-time, so we get it. But we also know that we're doing it, so you can, too. Here's how.

Today's Goals: Set a timeline for your goals that challenges you to hustle and keep your "WHY" in mind, then repeat your vision and your reasons to yourself all day, every day until you make it.

IN THIS EPISODE, WE TALK ABOUT:

    • Building a business often has to happen while you're still working full time, and there's nothing wrong with that.
    • Timelines are great to get started, but they're also even better when they help you reach smaller goals faster and accelerate your growth as you go.
    • Finding your "WHY," the reason you're doing all this in the first place, is the key to changing your mindset and motivating yourself to go beyond anything you ever thought possible.

  • COMMUNITY OVER COMPETITION

Just about every entrepreneur has at least one experience where their heart sinks... someone is doing exactly what you're doing. You thought your ideas and execution were unique, top-notch, the best out there, and yet someone else is getting the business you deserve!

It's so difficult to have this realization, but let's flip that mindset upside down. There's room for everyone, and business owners can benefit a ton more from becoming a community and helping each other out rather than seeing each other as nasty competition. Let's talk about how being friends with like-minded people and entrepreneurs in your niche is actually the best decision to make for your business.

Today's goals: Start networking with your niche community and find ways to support each other rather than tear each other down.

IN THIS EPISODE, WE TALK ABOUT:

    • How the competition isn't always direct competition - there are different niches and subsets within each industry
    • Local businesses offering similar services can work together so each owner gets their perfect clients rather than just hoarding any client they can find
    • Getting over the heart-sinking mindset that people who copy your ideas are stealing your success
    • Surrounding yourself with like-minded, supportive people who light you up and choosing to walk away from toxic relationships that cut you down or limit you

  • USING SOCIAL MEDIA TO BUILD YOUR BUSINESS WITHOUT BURNOUT

Social media truly is the bane of the business owner's existence. It drains so much time and energy, and even time-saving practices aren't enough to make it tolerable sometimes.

At the same time, social media is extremely important to reach your audience, gain exposure, and communicate what's going on to your clients and customers. In order to keep myself going strong and build my business with social media without completely burning out, I've learned a few really important lessons I'd love to share with you here!

Today's goal: Implement work-life boundaries, crush limiting mindsets, and remember to give yourself grace as you learn and grow on social media and beyond.

IN THIS EPISODE, WE TALK ABOUT:

    • Remember not to compare your chapter 1 to someone else's chapters 5, 10, or 20 - you're not going to start off with 100k followers or show-stopping engagement levels, it takes time!
    • Find platforms and areas of opportunity that allow you to meet your audience where they are and engage, even if they aren't as popular as TikTok or Instagram
    • Block out content that brings on negativity and reinforces your limiting mindsets while learning to fill your feeds with inspiring and helpful content instead.
    • Establishing boundaries and being realistic - there's life outside of work, and the world won't end if you need to put on Do Not Disturb to stop getting bombarded with notifications

  • HOW TO GET MORE DONE IN A DAY

I know, not everyone is totally as crazy as me, but my mama friends must know what it's like to have a mind that's just ready to explode with things to do and no way to organize or prioritize.

My husband calls my mind a spiderweb that never stops getting spun! I always have new ideas and a hugely intense fire for doing them all right away, all at once. At the same time, life is hectic and I must prioritize, so I lean on my to-do lists. Let's talk tips and tricks for prioritizing, getting stuff done, and learning about which tasks are truly worth spending time on.

Today's Goals: Set up lists for what must be done today, what must be done soon, and what you want to do at some point. Then, set aside the list of want-to-do tasks for a while and revisit to see if you still want to give them a try, and give yourself small goals so that you never get too overwhelmed.

IN THIS EPISODE, WE TALKED ABOUT:

    • My personal war with ideation, time management, and prioritization
    • How I've learned to organize my thoughts with a system of lists
    • Saving time and frustration by walking away from ideas before I reevaluate their importance
    • Getting stuff done more efficiently by putting tasks into smaller containers rather than overwhelming myself with huge goals

  • MOMMY SELF CARE

If you're not a happy mama, your kids aren't going to be happy either.

If you're not doing what brings joy to your life and prioritizing self-care, then you'll begin resenting your life and those that are demanding your attention. It's a hard pill to swallow, but moms who don't take care of themselves often find it difficult to enjoy time with their kids. Time to turn things around: make yourself happy so you can make your kids happy!

Today's Goal: Invest time in reconnecting with activities, hobbies, and interests that you've given up due to prioritizing your household responsibilities.

IN THIS EPISODE, WE TALK ABOUT:

    • How common it is for moms to lose touch with themselves and what makes them happy
    • Prioritizing self-care isn't selfish, it's necessary!
    • Moms who carve out time to recharge and reconnect with themselves are more patient, present, and happy around their families

  • DO YOUR FRIENDS AND FAMILY WANT YOU TO BE SUCCESSFUL?

It matters who you allow into your life and your business.

In order to thrive and keep that fire going, you need to have a support group of people who will light up as much as you do when you're happy, inspired, and motivated -- not people who will doubt you, raise concerns, and fear-monger. Do you have people you can trust with your fire?

Today's Goals: Identify the people in your life who are truly supportive allies and the people who are there to knock you down at every step, even if they don't realize it. Then, protect your fire by keeping your allies close while keeping others at a distance.

IN THIS EPISODE, WE TALK ABOUT:

    • How I've learned the hard way to keep my passions, big ideas, and success to myself and my close allies
    • Identifying who is truly happy for you and who is always getting in your way and shooting down your dreams
    • How people who often put you down are doing so because they have their own insecurities, fears, and limiting mindsets
    • The importance of protecting your business and your personal life from toxic influences
    • You are amazing! No matter what anyone says. You have it in you to achieve everything you've ever wanted, and you deserve to be celebrated

  • BREAKING GENERATIONAL CURSES

Let's get our hands dirty and talk about breaking generational curses. Larry and I are set on breaking out of our lower-middle-class mindsets and financial status, and we want to help you do it, too.

It can be uncomfortable to talk about money and social structure in relation to your friends, family, and your own private household. Because there's so much hush-hush about it, less affluent people are stuck in the lower classes, never hearing about ways they can break free from vicious money cycles and start finding happiness and freedom beyond the paycheck-to-paycheck lifestyle. All that's about to change: we're going to break down doors, pull away the curtains, and help you see the light.

Today's Goals: Identify the limiting mindsets you've inherited from your parents, friends, and community that are keeping you locked into your paycheck-to-paycheck life. Then, identify great sources and mentors who can educate you about breaking free and building wealth.

IN THIS EPISODE, WE TALK ABOUT:

    • How your family and community can seriously shape your mindset and affect generations to come
    • Realizing what limiting mindsets we've inherited from our parents, including negative views of financial honesty in marriage and going to college unnecessarily
    • Learning how to flip those lower-middle-class mindsets upside down to begin educating ourselves about investing and smart uses for debt
    • Emphasizing that where you come from never has to be where you should stay or what your kids should experience

  • HOW BAD DO YOU WANT IT?

I hope you're ready with open ears and an open mind because here it goes: How bad do you want it?

Are you willing to stay up a few extra hours at night after the kids have gone to bed? Are you willing to sacrifice that extra hour of TV, those mindless minutes of scrolling through IG, or that extra snack you really don't need? Inspired action will move the needle for you in every part of your life and goals, but you have to keep asking yourself: "How bad do I really want it? What am I working towards?"

Today's Goals: Realign yourself with your initial fire, the passion that got you on your journey in the first place. Then, reignite the fire, identify your limiting mindsets, and crush every doubt and excuse that has been holding you back from reaching your goals.

IN THIS EPISODE, WE TALK ABOUT:

    • What it means to be driven by inspired action
    • Identifying and crushing limiting mindsets and excuses
    • Reigniting your fire by asking yourself just how badly you really want to succeed

Some nights, limiting beliefs and normal life stressors can hit us really hard. They can get us to doubt everything we've done and everything we plan to do, but we need to choose growth.

This episode, we bring back Larry Morton to talk about how his past few days have been really tough when dealing with his own limiting mindsets and the stressors of being the current sole provider of our household. After a great discussion, we're able to move beyond his fears and doubts so that he can believe and achieve.
