  • Episode 35: How To Have Confidence Inside & Out, The Power of Stories & All That Jazz With Simona Barbieri
Joyful, vibrant, always full of energy – meeting Simona Barbieri in person (and even online!) you’ll be immediately struck by her ability to talk to anyone. Maybe it’s her Italian heritage. She now runs a global business that is all about connecting people through the power of stories. And when you go beyond her immediate presence and allow yourself to immerse in her story you will see how much depth she has experienced. Despite always looking like “the confident one”, she too has been through many iterations on working out how to stop worrying what other people think, and struggled with an internal negative narrative. She shares in this episode how tapping back into one of her longest loves and joys helped guide her back to a higher place. We talk about why “everything happens for a reason”, how our bodies “talk to us”, and why trusting yourself is the (only) way forward. So much love in this conversation!

And all of it has made her who she is today.

She’s found herself for the first time ever having to consider how to think about herself first and “building a new life”. One of the things that’s supporting her to do so is what she says “returning to my first love”. For her, that’s photography and bringing people’s stories to life.

  • Episode 30: Finding Your Joy Rhythm
When you’re feeling particularly stuck, stressed, or going through a challenging time, the idea of finding your “joy” could feel a little irritating. You know you want it, but it’s hard to grasp onto. Perhaps you feel at times like you really want to get unstuck, you just don’t know how, so you stay stuck in a “dance” with yourself. Not moving forward, yet wanting a different result. We’re all so unique in our experience of life and the more you can notice what works for you the more in sync your life becomes. In today’s episode I’m sharing more on how joy works through our lives, and that when you can find your unique joy rhythm how it makes it so much easier to reach for during those not so joyful moments. It’s all about getting curious about what does put you back into your groove when you need it most, and knowing that in every season of our life we have the power to chance our dance moves.

  • Episode 29: Getting To Know Yourself, Finding Clarity & All Things Healing With Jasmin Harsono
Saying yes to things that feel aligned. Nothing feeling forced. Feeling good in what you’re doing. These are all things Jasmin Harsono has at this point in her life. And it’s a result of what she says a process of “getting to know myself all over again”. Experiencing health problems and severe depression from her teens her real turning point happened around eight years ago when she started turning to more healing modalities. Her curiosity grew from there and she’s navigated herself to a place now where she is not only feeling “really really right” about herself and her life, she’s teaching and guiding others to create that same depth of wellbeing in her life. We talk about how she stopped playing the victim in her life, the value of taking time to be with yourself, and how healing happens on all levels – emotional, mental, physical and spiritual. Her business, Emerald and Tiger, now fuses the synergies of modern life, conscious living and ancient practices such as Reiki, Sound and Meditation to help people to heal from within.

  • Episode 27: Getting Back To Happy After Loss And Reconnecting To Your Purpose With Julia Linney
It’s my absolute joy to invite you into this conversation today with a very dear friend of mine. We’ve known each since we were in our first year of school and have witnessed the many phases of life’s transitions. Born in Zimbabwe, raised in South Africa, high schooled in Portugal, and having “become an adult” in the UK, Julia Linney says she feels like she’s carried a part of each of these places with her. But, so much happened in the growing up bit that she disconnected with what felt like her purpose. Having always been seen as the “happy person” in this episode Julia gets raw and honest about how she felt her “bubble bursting” when her father passed away from an incurable disease, what she did to keep on being mum to two toddlers, taking care of her mother who’d moved countries, and keeping it all together at work. And, how all of that launched a journey of connecting back in with her sense of purpose. We talk about the masks we all use to cover up what’s going on underneath, the coping mechanisms she put in place, how she started to see opportunities in her experience, and why being joyful is actually a pretty cool thing to be.

  • Episode 26: Why Your Emotions Matter And How To Get Okay With Them
Are you a bottler? I used to always hold my emotions so close to myself worried what people would think if they knew what was going on inside. From the outside looking in I was strong and confident and never got upset. What I learnt over time is the more I held tightly, the more the emotions found other ways to escape and not always in healthy ways. Having a closer relationship to our emotions actually has a strong affect on our physical and mental wellbeing – contributing to improvements to our immune system, ability to handle stress, and even our levels of resilience. In this episode I share some insights from my own journey with emotional health plus a simple practice that will allow you to be okay with your emotions and experience your life more deeply. Think less sleepwalking more aliveness.
