Mana whenua relieved protest is over

Taranaki Whanui ki te Upoko o te Ika are relieved the protest is over but say now it is time for healing and restoration of parliament grounds - Kaiota and surrounding areas.
There were violent clashes at Parliament yesterday and it's likely further arrests will be made, some of whom threw paving stones and other projectiles at police and torched their own tents.
A recovery plan for the grounds has been developed which includes working with mana whenua and coordinating offers of assistance from volunteer groups.
Taranaki Whanui laid te kahu o te raukura or a cloak of peace on Wellington earlier in the week to help it come to an end.
The iwi chair, Kara Puketapu-Dentice, spoke to Māni Dunlop.
