It has just ticked over to a new financial year here, and I find this is a great opportunity to really reflect on the past 12 months in business.
When I look back at all that Erika and I have achieved in our businesses this year, I feel grateful and proud of what we’ve been able to do.
We’ve grown so much not only professionally, but personally and when I think about how the end of financial year used to feel for me, there has been such a shift in my mindset.
When I was first starting out in the fitness industry, I was really struggling financially. My gym wasn’t making money year after year, and I couldn’t figure out what I was doing wrong. I was tired all the time, stressed beyond belief and everything felt really hard.
I realised that I wasn’t being honest with myself. I wasn’t really looking at the numbers and the reality of where my business was sitting.
Once I started being honest about the situation, I could finally start to turn it around.
This isn’t just something that applies to your finances either. It applies to everything in your life.
If you are truly honest with yourself and the situation that you’re in, coming to it with an open mind, you can make positive changes.
