  • Cardcaptor Sakura / Giant Spider & Me

The White Sox were snowed out for three straight games and suck with

runners in scoring position. It's baseball season. Also I went to a
Rockies and Dodgers game recently, and those were very good experiences
mostly because they didn't involve White Sox baseball (which is
currently bad). But anyway, the future is soon.

This episode, we're talking about CLAMP's Cardcaptor Sakura published by Dark Horse (formerly Tokyopop) and

Kikori Morino's Giant Spider & Me published by Seven Seas.

That song you heard at the top of the episode is "Catch You Catch Me" by Gumi from the Cardcaptor Sakura anime.

As always, you can find me on Twitter @ImpassionateK, and my co-hosts Helen (@WanderinDreamr) and Apryll (@manjiorin) on Twitter at those places in the parenthesis. You can find both of their writing at The Organization of Anti-Social Geniuses, more of Helen's writing at Narrative Investigations, and my writing at the Fandom Post.

  • Battle Angel Alita / Again!!

Baseball is finally back! Opening day happened, and several games

were snowed out because the weather is ridiculous and unstoppable. The
White Sox were, until recently, undefeated after come-from-behind
victories against the hated Kansas City Royals, so it's been ok until
    they went to Canada.

This episode, we're talking about Yukito Kishiro's Battle Angel Alita and Mitsuru Kubo's Again!!, both published by Kodansha.

That song you heard is "Bodysnatchers" by Radiohead, which was apparently used in some Battle Angel Alita anime as an opening?

As always, you can find me on Twitter @ImpassionateK, and my co-hosts Helen (@WanderinDreamr) and Apryll (@manjiorin) on Twitter at those places in the parenthesis. You can find both of their writing at The Organization of Anti-Social Geniuses, more of Helen's writing at Narrative Investigations, and my writing at the Fandom Post.

  • Orange / Silver Spoon

Well school has been kicking Helen's ass and I moved to California,

so it's been a while since last time. But we're back and the same as
    ever!

This episode, we're talking about Ichigo Takano's Orange published by

Seven Seas and Hiromu Arakawa's Silver Spoon published by Yen Press.

The song you heard at the top was "Oto no Naru Hō e" by Goose House

from the Silver Spoon anime. Apryll said it was the opening because I
mislead her into thinking that by saying it and not looking it up or
remembering correctly. I regret this error.

As always, you can find me on Twitter @ImpassionateK, and my co-hosts Helen (@WanderinDreamr) and Apryll (@manjiorin) on Twitter at those places in the parenthesis. • A Silent Voice / To Your Eternity

This is the first time a Taiiku and Manga In Your Ears episode have

hit the same day, and it probably won't be the last? Various
circumstances will, I'm sure, press the matter once again and I'll be
editing into the late evening hours editing once again months or years
    down the road.

This episode, we're talking about Yoshitoki Ōima's A Silent Voice and To Your Eternity, both published by Kodansha.

That song you heard at the top is "My Generation" by The Who, which

was also used as the opening song for the A Silent Voice movie.

Helen didn't join us this time, but you can still find her on Twitter @WanderinDreamr. And as always, you can find me on Twitter @ImpassionateK, and my other co-host Apryll on Twitter @manjiorin. You can find both of their writing at The Organization of Anti-Social Geniuses, more of Helen's writing at Narrative Investigations, and my writing at the Fandom Post.

  • Planetes / The Promised Neverland

Uh, I'm done editing the episode and I forgot to write my stupid

introduction thing. Uhhhhh... Please sports pundits, stop saying the
White Sox should sign Mike Moustakas. It's just a bad idea.

This episode, we're talking about Makoto Yukimura's Planetes published by Dark Horse and Kaiu Shirai and Posuka Demizu's The Promised Neverland published by Viz Media.

That song you heard at the top was "Wonderful Life" by Mikio Sakai

from the Planetes anime. And playing us out is "A Secret Of The Moon" by
Hitomi Kuroishi also from the Planetes anime.

As always, you can find me on Twitter @ImpassionateK, and my co-hosts Helen (@WanderinDreamr) and Apryll (@manjiorin) on Twitter at those places in the parenthesis. said it was only Kitchen Princess, but I had some Phantom Thief Jeanne
thoughts I had to get off my chest. It is only Kitchen Princess first
though, so if you only want those then shut it off immediately upon me
    talking about Phantom Thief Jeanne.

Next time is A Silent Voice and To Your Eternity!

  • Phantom Thief Jeanne / Golden Kamuy

I just wrote one of these for the Taiiku Podcast three days ago, so

I'm not really sure what to write this time. Today, I was able to eat
dinner before recording this podcast, so I'm gonna count that as an
    accomplishment. It's the little things!

This episode, we're talking about Arina Tanemura's Phantom Thief Jeanne and Satoru Noda's Golden Kamuy both published by Viz Media.

That song you heard at the top of the episode was "Piece of Love" by Shazna from the Phantom Thief Jeanne anime.

  • Kitchen Princess / Delicious in Dungeon

It's been in the negative 20s and 30s here recently, which is Very

Cold. So we start the new year with the only way we know how, a cold
that Helen and I both coincidentally got. Sorry for sounding nasal-y in
this episode, but it's just what happens when it's Very Cold everywhere.

This episode, we're talking about Miyuki Kobayashi and Natsumi Ando's Kitchen Princess published by Kodansha (formerly by Del Rey) and Ryoko Kui's Delicious in Dungeon published by Yen Press.

That song you heard at the top of the episode was "ギミチョコ!!" or "Gimme Chocolate!!" by BABYMETAL.

  • Paradise Kiss / Princess Jellyfish

It's coming to the end of the anime season, and I've already finished

Recovery of an MMO Junkie and Juni Taisen, with more coming in the
following weeks. I always like the one week between seasons. Gives me
time to procrastinate on watching everything else.

This episode, we're talking about Ai Yazawa's Paradise Kiss published by Vertical Comics and Akiko Higashimura's Princess Jellyfish published by Kodansha.

That song you heard at the top of the episode was "Koko Dake no

Hanashi"by Chatmonchy from the Princess Jellyfish anime. Also included
in this episode are "♥Lonely in Gorgeous♥" by Tommy february6 from the Paradise Kiss anime and "Kimi no Kirei ni Kizuiteokure" by Sambomaster, the ending from the Princess Jellyfish anime.

  • Chi’s Sweet Home / Yona of the Dawn

Man, there is so much going on in baseball right now. And it isn't

even the winter meetings yet! Derek Jeter and company are trying to get
payroll way down for the Marlins, and the Cardinals and Giants have
reportedly made trade offers for 59-homer-man Giancarlo Stanton.
Meanwhile in Atlanta, they've had some hard penalties levied on them for
breaking a variety of rules, including losing top prospects. Way out
east, it appears MLB and NPB may have come to an agreement for posting
Shohei Ohtani. Only 90+ days until baseball is back!

This episode, we're talking about Konami Kanata's Chi's Sweet Home published by Vertical Comics and Mizuho Kusanagi's Yona of the Dawn published by Viz Media.

That song you heard at the top was "Akatsuki no Hana" by Cyntia from the Yona of the Dawn anime.
