I do not have a pair of Huaraches, but I've thought about it. I do have two pairs of Air Force 1 though: Korea and a GORE-TEX.

The Clippers are yet again down 0-2 in a seven game playoff series, and they're still without Kawhi and the Suns' floor general is about to return. I am not optimistic, and I will be very sad if they end up not even winning a game and especially if they lose the series.
Content warning for this episode: The Mars section has talks of suicide, parental abuse, rape, and other general mental health issues.

If I were the Chicago White Sox, I would simply have more good relievers to depend on later in games, and also get a new manager that's not using coded racist language about his rookies.

My preamble to Helen's write up below is that it is MLB opening day and that I did not forget we were recording an episode, I forgot it was Wednesday at all.
Soooo, Kory forgot we were recording an episode (and moved so his computer is in pieces)! So it's only Helen (me) and Apyrll doing a short podcast duet while talking about Sexiled: My Sexist Party Leader Kicked Me Out, So I Teamed Up With a Mythical Sorceress!, which is complete in two volumes from J-Novel Club and available both digitally and physically.
Also, as the person editing this episode, I would like to apologize for my weird audio, I will use that stimulus money to buy myself an actual mic.

Next time is TBD.
Apologies for my audio issues this episode. Skype decided to reset every setting I had ever set it to, and then when I changed them, I did not restart my recording app, which just remembers the first thing I selected, but does not update to every subsequent thing I entered. I cleaned up some background noise that was going on as a result of me having to really crank up my own audio to make it audible at all, but it still sounds far away and tinny. I can do nothing about this, beyond re-recording all my audio with my good microphone I guess? But I'm not gonna do that. The content is there...albeit poorly.
This episode, we're talking about Aya Kanno's Otomen and Riichiro Inagaki (story) and Boichi's (art) Dr. Stone, both published by Viz Media.

Next time is a surprise.
I didn't know if I'd be excited for baseball season when it came along, but here we are at spring training and I am very excited despite a two-time drunk driver at the helm for the White Sox and the Mariners former president and CEO spouting what I assume all or most baseball CEOs believe about their players of color. MLB sucks, but baseball is great.
This episode, we talk about Satsuki Yoshino's Barakamon and Salt Seno's Heterogenia Linguistico, both published by Yen Press.

I don't know if I've written this before, but follow both the White Sox and the OG favorite baseball team and the Dodgers as the local favorite baseball team and now the Padres as a lowkey third baseball team is just extremely wild. Watching a relatively successful White Sox team now decide to do basically nothing besides sign a closer replacement that is only going to be a marginal improvement over who he's replacing, compared to the Dodgers winning six division titles in a row and then trading for and signing Mookie Betts to a huge extension...is just frustrating. And then there's the Padres trading a very deep farm system for immediate improvements in addition to signing Kim Haseong. These are all billionaires who choose to spend their millions in different ways and, in the end, a season's worth of payroll losses is not going to be much to them. Ever.
This episode, we're talking about Tsugumi Ohba (story) and Takeshi Obata's (art) Death Note and Kintetsu Yamada's Sweat and Soap!
The song you heard in the episode was "the WORLD" by Nightmare from the Death Note anime.

Basketball is starting back up, but it feels like it just ended. The pandemic has messed with a bunch of stuff, but maybe most of all, the continuation of sports has given some the false sense that other things can go on as normal as COVID rages through some locker rooms, even with their "protections." Sports, sadly, should probably not be happening at all until this pandemic is over or numbers in the US go way down. Unless they're in NBA, NWSL, or NHL bubbles.
This episode, we just count down each of our three favorite manga we read this year, the hell year that is known as March 2020. Weird that we only had three months! Featuring manga from Viz, Seven Seas, Udon, Kodansha, and Yen Press! Pretty much everyone put out something great this year.
