Before Anthony Hopkins became Hannibal Lecter, Brian Cox brought the cannibalistic doctor to life in the 1986 adaptation of Red Dragon, Manhunter. Eventually it would be remade with Hopkins in 2002's Red Dragon, but we are here to talk about Michael Mann's first crack at it, years before Silence of the Lambs took movie audiences, critics, and award shows by storm.
