I left the house today to run some errands, and it felt so weird! I've been lucky enough to stay at home during this pandemic, so it felt strange to leave the house and go out in public for the first time in a long time. And to be honest, it felt a little scary to see how the world is operating right now.
I'm right there with you - these times are hard! And it's easy to go into a state of fear or anxiety over current events. A little bit of stress in our lives is good, it's a natural human reaction to what's going on around us. But it's not healthy for us to stay in a state of fear for too long, and it's especially not good for our immune systems.
So what can we do to feel our negative feelings without judgment, let them pass through naturally, and then consciously choose to change our emotional state to a more positive one?
On the other hand, I have felt some upsides to this pandemic as well! I feel like I'm much more focused and intentional with my time, I'm connecting more with my family and with others as well (even if it is online), and I'm just enjoying this slower pace of life.
Overall, we need to take the good with the bad during this crazy, unprecedented time. We are all humans having a human experience together. Let's take care of ourselves and our loved ones, feel our feelings as they come up, and focus on showing up as our best selves as much as possible.
