ASX 200 shrugs off CV19 case rises to close up 23 points at 7355. BNPL a major diasetr area today as Apple and PayPal enter the fray. APT, Z1P and SZL all tumbling around 10% or more. Z1P update due tomorrow. Banks steady with BHP up 0.5% and gold miners pushing ahead as AUD weakened. Defensive industrials also in demand. PPS doing well up around 15% on a business update and SKI in a trading halt late in the session pending a material announcement. Another Takeover perhaps.
European futures pointing to early losses and US results season the focus.
