The S&P 500 closed flat on Thursday after briefly topping the 5,000 mark for the first time on record to finish at 4,997.91 after reaching a high of 5,000.40 heading into the close. The Dow Jones rose 48.97 points, or 0.13%, to end at 38,726.33, while the Nasdaq  gained 0.24% to close at 15,793.71.

• Tin rose % after January Tin shipments from Indonesia dropped by 99% YonY after miners suffered delays to work plan approvals.
• Zinc prices fell 2.65%, hit by rising inventories and China property woes, touching $2,322 during trade its weakest since August-23.
• Oil prices rallied after Israel rejected a ceasefire offer from Hamas. WTI +3.225% and Brent Crude +3.09%.
• 10Y Bond Yields – US 4.154%, Australia 4.152%, and Germany 2.359%.
• AUD -0.40%, USD Index +0.07%, and Japanese Yen +0.77%.
• Gold flat.
