Takeaways
Empire building as you work a job
Ursula took local college courses preparing. As an employee, she stayed for 2 ½ intentional years, long enough to get her CPA license, intentionally work her job, and have a plan.
Two kinds of employees discussed.
1- The person that stays on a job long enough to retire (50’s, the ’60s) the kids are taken care of and out, now it’s time to become an entrepreneur.
2 - The other doesn’t want to work for anyone, but when they do, they expect to make a lot of money with minimal skillset – this person moves from job to job, get rich scheme to another – this employee worries Ursula. They need grounding before becoming an entrepreneur.
While you are an employee, save money! When you get a raise, keep & invest. Wealth and businesses are built systematically.
