Mariners Sogcast

This week on the Mariners Sogcast, we bring you the GOOD NEWS!

The Mariners are tied for first in the AL west, after sweeping the Cincinnati Reds, driven by their dominant pitching and offensive outbursts.
Jonatan Clase makes his major league debut on Jackie Robinson Day, which Ken Griffey Jr. had a hand in creating.
Luis Castillo continues to improve, Dominic Canzone landed on the IL allowing Jonatan Clase to make an impact right away! Just the spark we needed.

We are looking forward to key players making a return from the IL, and riding this swell into next week when we face the Texas Rangers!

In this episode of the Mariners Sogcast, we're covering the first three games of the season against the Red Sox. The regular season is finally here and every game matters!
Nelson Cruz retired as a Mariner and we couldn't be more stoked about it. Amidst all the strikeouts, the boys managed to pull off two wins which is a hell of a lot better than the Asstros start to their season. Ya love to see it.

In this episode of the Mariners Sogcast, we... barely do a podcast. Between us talking about nothing, we also go over the struggle of the Mariners going from spring training in Arizona to coming home to wet soggy Seattle. With Shohei in the NL, does Julio have a real shot at MVP? Hoping the Mariners will strike out less, stay healthy, and not leave the bases loaded so often.
We go over past Ms in our Where Are They Now segment. Jackson Kowar is out for the season and Mike Zunino retired.
We are so ready for opening day. Ya know, when games matter and a complete team is on the field.

Stick with us and we promise we'll have more to talk about next week. Thank you all!

In this episode of the Mariners Sogcast, we spend a good grip of time shooting the shit about baseball in general before we get into the Mariners news. If you've ever wanted to hear us talk about PEDs, the Hall of Fame, or baseball writers, this episode is for you.

The big move this week was the acquisition of former Astros pitcher Ryne Stanek so stick around for the end where we get back to our regularly scheduled programming.

In this episode of the Mariners Sogcast, we're talking about the fan favorites, the core of the Mariners roster, the guys we signed up for a few years. What can we expect from our guys Ty France, JP Crawford, Cal Raleigh, and Julio Rodriguez? With a ton of dudes in our spring training camp, who's going to make the 26 man roster? Will Sam Haggerty start in AAA? Do the Mariners have a need for multiple utility players with their current roster of movable guys?
Of course we have to talk about the pitching staff, specifically starters. The three-headed monster is out for blood this season! Will we see more knuckleballs from George Kirby this year!? Let's hope so.

Do you boo pickoff attempts? Let us know in the comments!

And finally, we respond to a viewer question regarding Blake Snell and if the Mariners will or should try to sign him up. Thanks Andrew!
