Mark Harrington

In 1999, I was with Center for Bio Ethical Reform (CBR) leading the Genocide Awareness Project (GAP). We were invited to take the display to the University of British Columbia in Vancouver, BC by the UBC Students for Life.

Canada doesn’t have a first amendment. Instead, they have the Charter of Rights and Freedoms which doesn’t provide the same freedoms we enjoy here in America. Upon are arrival in Vancouver, the university demanded CBR pay $10K for “security fees.” Instead of paying the fee, we sued the university.

Despite that setback we still were able to train some students in pro-life apologetics. That is when I met the student leader for UBC Students for Life, Stephanie Gray.   

Eventually, Stephanie and her group were able to conduct the outreach at UBC.

That experience launched our working relationship. After college, Stephanie co-founded the Canadian Centre for Bio Ethical Reform and began traveling North America with our GAP displays.

At a young age, Stephanie was already battle hardened because she faced her opposition courageously.  However, if you know Stephanie, she is the personification of the gentle warrior: Compassionate and bold. 

Stephanie authored the book Love Unleashes Life which speaks about talking to the head and the heart of abortion advocates.

The Charlotte Lozier Institute (CLI) recently published a new chart detailing whether the eight leading COVID-19 vaccine candidates supported by Operation Warp Speed are produced or tested using cells derived from abortions. The vaccine candidates evaluated are those produced by Pfizer/BioNTech, Moderna, AstraZeneca, Johnson & Johnson, Novavax, Sanofi/GSK, Inovio, and Merck.

CLI's analysis found that most vaccine candidates did not use abortion-derived cell lines in their production. Several used abortion-derived cell lines in laboratory testing, or their use in testing could not be determined.

The ACLU has withdrawn its lawsuit against seven cities in Texas that have enacted ordinances outlawing abortion within city limits. Each of these seven cities has also proclaimed itself a Sanctuary City for the Unborn, joining a movement that is spreading across the state of Texas. The ACLU’s decision to withdraw its lawsuit comes less than three months after it sued these cities over their decision to ban abortion within city borders.

On Today’s show Mark interviews Mark Lee Dickson of Right to Life of East Texas, who drafted the ordinances and is leading the Sanctuary Cities for the Unborn movement.

As expected, these strong and enforceable ordinances have successfully withstood legal scrutiny. Dickson says that the ACLU’s decision to withdraw its lawsuit means that other cities can enact these ordinances without fear of an adverse court ruling. Dickson promises that more cities will enact sanctuary ordinances in the months ahead.

It’s now abundantly clear that the Democrat Party has no room at the inn for pro-life advocates. Mayor Pete just told them to find another party.

The party of inclusion has become the party of death. There was a time that there were pro-life Democrats. There was a time that they believed abortion should be “safe, legal, and rare.” There was a time that the party platform protected against federal funding of abortion. There was a time that “blue dog” Democrats were included in the democrat party. There was a time that Democrats were opposed to late term abortion and infanticide.

Sadly, those days are long gone. The Democrat Party is the party of unrestricted abortion on demand paid for by tax dollars. The Democrat Party is the party of death, and no one who claims Christ can vote for their candidates.

Some say the pro-life movement is winning the battle and are predicting the imminent demise of Roe v. Wade. Others have a more sober assessment.

Here are a few of the findings:

Since 2013, 367 surgical abortion facilities have permanently closed. 

This year’s closures represent a staggering 79 percent drop in the number of surgical abortion facilities nationwide since 1991, when there were 2,176 surgical abortion facilities.

There was a net gain of nine U.S. abortion clinics in 2019.

Planned Parenthood doubled down as a supplier of abortion-inducing drugs by opening five new pill clinics, dropping surgical abortions from five others, and adding chemical abortion availability to 14 of its centers that previously did not conduct abortions.

Abortion mills are closing. But Planned Parenthood is building bigger abortion centers to handle the demand.  

Surgical abortions are down. But are women just getting chemical abortions or DIY abortions instead?
