Through her academic research on how internet algorithms affect the human condition, Kathryn Dellar's goal is to help small to medium enterprises access modern digital marketing techniques and give them a competitive edge - but ironically, data can be detrimental to businesses if not used properly.
"The key to a strong digital presence is how well you tell your brand story." -Kathryn Dellar
A writer and filmmaker for more than 15 years, Kathryn is highly skilled at knowing how to tell a story with your brand. Her fascination with internet algorithms and human behaviour led her to complete her Master’s in Internet Communications in 2018, and she has since continued her academic research on how internet algorithms impact the human condition.
Kathryn founded Dellar Media after working in the field for 6 years and realising that many small and medium enterprises simply did not have the access to modern digital marketing techniques. Dellar Media is designed to fill that gap. She built the company to offer an outsourcing service that gives clients access to a complete marketing team that is laser-focused on using your digital presence for lead generation. Kathryn and her team deliver exceptional service to clients using the latest technology and data solutions that give you the competitive edge you're looking for.
In this episode, you will learn the following:
1. Discover the Power of Data and Human Behavior in Digital Marketing
2. Uncover the Psychology Behind Buying Behavior and Data Hacks
3. Learn the Tactics to Re-Attract the Same Customers Differently.

In this episode of Marketing EspressoI chat through how to know "Was That A Good Campaign?"
While chatting with a friend, we discussed the difficulty of getting feedback and validation when it comes to marketing campaigns and how to know if they have been successful.
It is important to have a set brief at the start of the campaign, to be realistic about what the campaign is going to include, and to track the results. The intentionality behind the campaign should be taken into account and a campaign debrief should be done to measure success.
“Your data is going to tell you if your campaign was a success.”
In this episode, you will learn the following:
1. How do you know if your marketing campaign has been a success?
2. What are the key steps to creating a successful campaign brief?
3. What do you need to track in order to measure the success of a campaign?

Do you feel overwhelmed by the amount of marketing content you’re currently seeing.
You’re not alone…
Latest stats estimate that we see anywhere from 6-10K ads per day.
That’s just ads, that doesn’t include all the other sneaky “non-marketing” marketing we see!
So I can forgive you for feeling like you don’t want to add to the noise.
In the past couple of years (especially since the pandemic) it feels like every brand has finally tuned into digital marketing and turned up the dial to full speed.
It’s hard not to make comments like “it feels like my entire social feed is just brands or people asking me to do something.”
So how do you judge when you should market, and how much is too much marketing?
The most important thing to remember is that your messaging isn’t for you.
It’s for your target market.
And if you have something educational, or entertaining to share with them, then you can be sharing as often as what feels right / is getting results.
"Done is better than perfect. And so long as there is a purpose, that is for your client, when you're marketing, there is nothing wrong with how often you market."
In this episode, you will learn the following:
1. How Much Is Too Much Marketing?
2. What Is The Longevity Of Content On Different Platforms?
3. How Can Educating Your Audience Help Increase Engagement?

With decades of experience in leadership and sales, and each having run their own successful coaching businesses since 2015, Nicky & Ness help women and non-binary owned, service-based businesses (with teams) move from chaos to business clarity in just 30 days.
They're obsessed with helping business owners release the weight of expectations of how they ‘should’ be doing business so they can thrive in business.
Nicky & Ness are both hands-on mentors so you get to tap into the experience and perspective of not only one, but two business minds.
Their corporate and small business experience means they bring to their clients both the big picture thinking (including systems and structures) of corporate alongside agile, on-the-ground thinking of small business.
The challenges they see most often are business owners getting stuck in the busy trap and having to juggle all the balls, resulting in business chaos.
They help business owners turn things around so they have time freedom, peak performance and can leverage smart business growth.
In this episode, you will learn the following:
1. How can businesses get a better return on their marketing investments?
2. How can businesses effectively budget and save money?
3. How can businesses track and monitor their finances to improve profitability?

Have you ever gotten caught on a phone call or lost in direct messages and felt incredibly ick because you know for a fact that person is just following some sales script that was given to them probably by a sales or business coach and it’s just completely disingenuous to their brand and product they’re representing.
I hate most sales scripts.
There I said it.
Sure they have their place.
But they also dehumanise brands and buzzword make the person reading/writing the script seem so in-authentic.
So when you’re not a natural sales person & you need help with how to sell how can you use these scripts in a way that is true to your brand?
I chat through that on this episode of Marketing Espresso.

"I think it's really easy to look at the negative, but it's really hard to think there's actually an opportunity in everything that happens."
In this episode, you will learn the following:
1. What has been the biggest shift for Plum and Bec this year
2. How has the pandemic affected people's spending habits
