She breaks down many systemic problems that prevent women and their children from escaping violence and breaking free from abusers. Oklahoma is number one in the state for violence against women by men and number two in the US for domestic violence homicide. LaTresha & Maralen ask each other a series of hard questions, and what it was like, being on each end of the spectrum and what life is looking like for her now.

Hello wonderful humans! I am so happy to be back , we have alot of ground to cover. I decided to title this as season one because I am in a lotus phase of my healing and am pushing through the muddy waters and reclaiming my happiness and spirit to blossom into my most authentic self and I want to take you on this journey of self discovery with me. I am starting this season off talking about co dependency and what is it? Co- dependency is a form of addiction that has been programed and created out of trauma. I want to cover on how society treats addiction and what we can do to shed more light and awareness on how trauma affects our mental health and how it shows up in our bodies. Trauma is not what happens to us it is how it makes our bodies feel. This leads to chronic pain and mental health disorders. These episodes may be triggering as I am diving into the shadows in my raw truth and welcoming the doors of vulnerability. Thank you for being in this space and riding the waves with me .
