Nick, Chip, and Kurabara are back to talk about their experiences playing the Mass Effect Legendary Edition! This week, they tackle the mission to breach a reaper corpse and get the IFF needed to safely enter the Omega-4 Relay.

After recapping the mission, the guys begin by discussing what death even means to a Reaper, since there was still some activity on the dead one they just encountered. They talk about how the Mass Effect engine was keeping it going. Nick posits that indoctrination emanates from Reaper material, dead or alive. Kura and Chip talk about a planetary entry that mentioned that a high power rail gun killed the Reaper 37 million years ago but also hit a planet. Nick says that he thinks the Reaper was left as a trap as the Reapers should have cleaned it up on one of their galactic sweeps.

Then they talk about the horror aesthetic inside the reaper. They talk about the bloody bodies and terror of indoctrination. Chip wonders about the scientists not leaving. Kura asks about the origin of the exploding husks.

Next, they discuss the geth sniper that appears. They talk about the value of getting Legion earlier in your playthrough at the expense of saving the crew later. This leads to a discussion about multiple playthroughs and save editors. They also mention that the ME:LE is now on Gamepass.

Nick compares the screens at the terminals to his Amazon Echo. He also compares the relationship between people and Reapers to bacteria or microbes and people. Husks are like white blood cells. They then talk about the final fight against the ME core, with husks attacking from two sides. They conclude discussing the mission by talking about Shepard jumping to the Normandy.

Next, they discuss how they handled recovering the Geth sniper’s body, and whether they woke it up. They talk about Legion’s speech. They weigh the options of Jacob’s “space it!” plan versus the Illusive Man’s offer to pay cash.

They talk about how EDI will be busy for two missions with the AI core.

They wake up Legion and talk about the difference between Heretic and Good geth. There is a virus that is making the Geth worship the Reapers and Nick speculates that is just their form of indoctrination.

Lastly, they talk about a mission in the Hourglass Nebula to save some Cargo from three heavy mechs.

Crashtag, Mezza and StaticGorilla are back for a very special episode of Double Tap with special guest, djWHEAT! djWHEAT is a well known commentator for Starcraft 2, formerly worked at Twitch, former co-host of Live on Three, and so much more. He has so much knowledge to share of the industry and has deep roots found within the FGC, going back to Tekken 2, and we get to pick his brain about the past, the present and the future of the FGC and where he sees it is headed, including what can be implemented to make it even better. We also dive in on what we can expect from games like Project L and the recently announced Street Fighter 6.

Nick, Rei, and Harv are back and joined by a visiting Eric to talk about what’s been going on in WoW. Eric and Harv haven’t been playing too much (although Eric is still enjoying his warlock while Harv is playing Heroes of the Storm) so Rei goes in depth on what has been going on with Order of Corrupted Souls.

Rei talks about how the guild has pretty much stopped working with the other guild after months of teaming up. She talks about completing some guild achievements to get the hand mount from Sanctum of Domination. Nick is still flabbergasted by the tank that will not talk in Discord to communicate with the guild. Rei talks about how important communication is at all levels of raid participation. She also talks a little about the expectations for cross-faction raiding. She also talks a little about recent pugging experiences. She brings up that DBM updated and the gang discusses using add-ons as part of your raid preparation. Rei talks about how she can’t help but communicate bluntly sometimes, and Harv shares a story of Rei flipping someone off while driving his car.

Finally, it is time for the Patch 9.2 quiz! After a joke about a dungeon finding misclick, Nick asks the gang about flying in Zereth Mortis, the Sepulchre of the First Ones raid, updates to Torghast, the Cypher of the First Ones, cross-faction raiding, protoform synthesis, and legendaries in Patch 9.2. This is our final episode for Horizon Zero Dawn, and we're going to talk about a few things we decided to hold off on until we completely finished the story. First, we'll talk about a easily miss-able side quest called Brin's House where Brin shares his visions with Aloy, including one of the future. Next, we'll talk about Bashar Mati, also known as the narrator of the Vantage Points. His messages come with a lot of information about him, his family, and the old world.

Finally, we'll talk about the founding of Meridian. How the Carja came from Nora lands, found the Spire, and how they decided where to settle.

Now that we are done with the story of The Frozen Wilds, its time to tackle the side quests that came with the DLC. In this episode we help fix an old world dam, help a Banuk hunter save a friend, and explore a drone hangar in search of parts up upgrade our spear.
