I’ve often heard it said that the most important characteristic necessary to succeed in the wine game is passion. Mason Canning has always been passionate. Mason and I went to school together and I have clear memories of Mason’s passion for rugby, something that Mason still has today. Fast forward 10 years, and factor in Mason’s journey throughout the Barossa Valley working vintages and at numerous cellar doors, Mason’s passion has reached new heights, so much so that Mason was awarded Cellar Door Person of the Year whilst working at Two Hands Winery. Mason is now the Qld Rep for Terroir Selections and he joins me in the Cellar Door to share his story. A massive thanks to Mason for joining me.
