Assyrian activist and member of the Hume City council Mr Joseph Haweil earned his Master's degree in international studies from the university of Melbourne. He told SBS his dissertation covered human rights, UNHCR, the middle East. He is hoping to implement his studies and knowledge to serve the Assyrian cause.
