Dr. Steven Kurtz is a leading clinical psychologist and internationally respected expert in the treatment of childhood anxiety disorders, ADHD, and behavioral challenges, notably in the area of school refusal. He is the founder and director of Kurtz Psychology Consulting, a practice known for its innovative, evidence-based approaches to school refusal, Selective Mutism, and disruptive behaviors. He’s an advocate for exposure-based treatments that empower families to help kids re-engage with school and the world around them. 

Shaya Hecht, LCSW is an Assistant Clinical Professor at the Sara Schenirer social work program in collaboration with the Wurzweiler School of Social Work.
