Right now, security is intertwined with safe transportation.

Just because the purchasing power of society increases does not mean your purchasing power will increase.

And, that is exactly the problem.

The government has money -> the government has a project they need to be completed -> it finds an organization to complete it -> the organization pays its employees -> employees spend in the economy.

This is a nice way of thinking about purchasing power.

I agree wholeheartedly.

What I meant by “employees are dry branches…”

I meant..companies are like trees.

And, for the company’s health, you have to get rid of weak links.

Certainly, having a good leader is necessary.

But, if you’re not able to offer your employee (who may be unhappy) something better - something they’re happy with.

You need to let them go.

How can you boost your team’s performance?

The former and late CEO of General Electric abided by the 20/70/10 system.

-> The top 20% of his employees were rewarded.

-> 70% of his employees were put on notice that they need to improve.

-> The bottom 10% of employees would be let go.

I like to apply this principle with a small twist.

I think the 10% of my most vulnerable people are my top 10% of people.
