Maxwell, Christian and Alyssa all start getting a little stir crazy in quarantine. By start, we of course mean from the second quarantine was announced. As the state of CT starts opening back up and other states follow, the gang talks about the hobbies they’ve picked up while in quarantine like roller blading, going to grad school, becoming the neighborhood snow white and having brushes with police.

On May 25th, 2020, George Floyd was killed by a Minneapolis police officer who kneeled on Floyd’s neck while he said “I can’t breath”. This event sparked national outrage and a demand for change to end systemic racism. New London City Councilman Curtis Goodwin and State Representative Anthony L. Nolan join Maxwell, Christian, and Alyssa to share their thoughts on the event of George Floyds death, the protests and riots, systemic racism in America and what we can do to influence positive change in our community and culture.

Returning guest host Jim Lauber comes on the podcast to fill in for Alyssa. Maxwell, Christian and Jim chat about the worst things in quarantine that make them go stir crazy like not being able to get a hair cut, shop in stores, or eat at restaurants. The day has finally come, it’s a very special birthday episode for a very special co host. 24 years ago Christian Turnquist was born into this world and nobody knew it at the time, but someday he would get lost in the woods.
