Sweet Lord Jesus Christ,
Chorus: I ask you my Lord
PSALMODY
Ant. 1 God so loved the world that he gave us his only Son, alleluia.
Psalm 145
I
I will give you glory, O God my king,
I will bless you day after day
Age to age shall proclaim your works,
They will speak of your terrible deeds,
The Lord is kind and full of compassion,
All your creatures shall thank you, O Lord,
to make known to men your mighty deeds
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
Ant. God so loved the world that he gave us his only Son, alleluia.
Ant. 2 To the King of ages, immortal and invisible, be all honor and glory, alleluia.
II
The Lord is faithful in all his words
The eyes of all creatures look to you
The Lord is just in all his ways
He grants the desires of those who fear him,
Let me speak the praise of the Lord,
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
Psalm Prayer
Lord, be near to all who call upon you in truth and increase the dedication of those who revere you. Hear their prayers and save them that they may always love you and praise your holy name.
Ant. To the King of ages, immortal and invisible, be all honor and glory, alleluia.
Ant. 3 The Lord is my strength, I shall always praise him, for he has become my savior, alleluia.
Canticle – Revelation 15:3-4
Mighty and wonderful are your works,
Who would dare refuse you honor,
Since you alone are holy,
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit:
Ant. The Lord is my strength, I shall always praise him, for he has become my savior, alleluia.
READING Hebrews 5:8-10
Son though he was, Christ learned obedience from what he suffered; and when perfected, he became the source of eternal salvation for all who obey him, designated by God as high priest according to the order of Melchizedek.
Sacred Silence (indicated by a bell) – a moment to reflect and receive in our hearts the full resonance of the voice of the Holy Spirit and to unite our personal prayer more closely with the word of God and public voice of the Church.
RESPONSORY
The disciples rejoiced, alleluia, alleluia.
When they saw the risen Lord,
Glory to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit,
CANTICLE OF MARY
Ant. The Good Shepherd laid down his life for his sheep, alleluia.
Luke 1:46-55
My soul proclaims the greatness of the Lord,
From this day all generations will call me blessed:
He has mercy on those who fear him
He has shown the strength of his arm,
He has cast down the mighty from their thrones,
He has filled the hungry with good things,
He has come to the help of his servant Israel
Glory to the Father, and to the Son,
Ant. The Good Shepherd laid down his life for his sheep, alleluia.
INTERCESSIONS
Let us praise Christ, the source of all life and the foundation of all virtue:
Jesus our Savior, you died in your human nature but were restored to life by the Spirit,
You sent your disciples into the whole world to preach the Gospel to every creature,
All power in heaven and on earth has been given to you, to bear witness to the truth,
You make all things new, and command us to wait and watch for your kingdom,
You went down among the dead to bring them the good news of the Gospel,
Our Father who art in heaven,
Concluding Prayer
