You have already made your list of 25 things you want in your life to make it meaningful. It's time to narrow that list to your top 10. This exercise will help you reduce the clutter and confusion in your life and help you to focus on what is most important.
Taking an extra minute with the intent of filling someone's bucket can make all the meaning in their day and it's so easy to do. Let me guide you on ways to start a conversation with a stranger, someone at a drive through and then; yourself.
Let me give you some tips on how to get your brain around those days and circumstances when you've been dealt a crummy hand. Bad things happen to good people but with the right mindset, I can help you turn those things into opportunities of learning and moving on.
One of the best things I've done for myself over the years is to journal. It's so easy to type it on your phone or computer or write it long hand. Listen to the benefits and give it a chance this week.
Today we go through your "Meaningful Life Map" and start peeling the layers and prioritizing what it most important to you so that you can more easily say no to things that are not aligned with your hopes and dreams. If you haven't listening to episode 1 please listen to that first.
For some us, saying no is difficult so I'm going to guide you through how to say no without actually saying, "no." If you listen and practice you will become a master of it and get more hours in the day and become more aligned with what is truly important to you.
Do you know that thoughts can be controlled and filtered? In this episode we talk about how we have millions of thoughts each day but it's what we choose to "believe" or "filter" that causes a feeling which results in how we take action and determines our results. Start thinking better thoughts now.
The most important thing you can do today if you feel lost, stuck or discouraged is to take some time to really think about what it is that is important to you? Where do you want to go in life? What does your perfect life look like. This exercise will be three different episodes but here is how we will start.
1. Write down 25 things that are important to you that will make you feel like your life is meaningful.
2. These should be in present tense "I am healthy, I am exercising, I read every day" and so on.
3. Don't overthink of worry about these 25 items. We'll be tweaking them soon and it will be fun!
Thanks for listening.
