My babesssss.
Oh boy, this one is heavy for me. This is as personal and raw as it gets. Today, the man I spent the past 13 years of life with joins me on Mama Fire.
We are in the midst of the biggest transition I’ve ever been through. To say it has not been easy would be a huge understatement.
It has actually been the hardest experience of my life. It has been a ton of letting go, the deepest level of surrender, trusting this is what’s next and allowing myself the time and space to feel it all - sadness, grief, jealousy, loneliness.
I hope this conversation allows you to let go of some of the worries, fears and maybe even regrets you’ve been carrying. Because at the end of the day, we’re all human. And we all make mistakes.
Even if you’re like me and have to learn the same lesson again and again and again until it sticks, this is how it all begins. The beginning of a new story.
Thank you so much for listening. I love you.

This week is a little different.
Just as there is so much more to motherhood than what we see and expect on the surface, so is my intention with this podcast.
And this guest is no stranger to doing things different.
Mike Corey is an adventure traveler, he’s a filmmaker, TV host, YouTuber and cohost of the Podcast Against the Odds. His Youtube channel, Fearless and Far, motivates you to face off with your fears and push the edges of your own comfort zone.
My hope is that this conversation inspires you to lean in and take that step you’ve been wanting to make for way too long.

For every parent out there, this is an absolute must listen! Halimah opens up about the devastation and heartbreak that touched Lahaina and Maui in August, the affect the fires had on the community, the families and especially young children. She also shares how she began her journey in early childhood development, what is missing in the way we teach and communicate with our children, and the beautiful mirror and opportunity they provide as a way to dig deeper and connect more intimately with our own trauma and triggers. She gives real life examples and take aways to bring forth into your own parenting journey and shares exactly how we should all allow more room for compassion, the way we speak to ourselves and the way we can show up for future generations to stop living unconsciously and start living from the heart.

On the first episode of the Mama Fire Podcast, Diera dives deep into her own journey. As she strips back the veil of childhood, she uncovers the stories and patterns many moms struggle with today-perfectionism, societal pressure, relationship challenges, loss of identity, and the overwhelming pressure to do it all. She invites you into the dark side as she tells the story of how she overcame and found purpose through the pain.
