Throughout my medical training I remember having to attend resilience training. The sessions would take us through team building exercises, methods for reducing stress, such as going for walks, meditating, spending time with friends and family. However these were never methods that would help me on a busy shift at work where I don’t leave until 10pm, deal with 10 different emotions from patients and still not get everything done.
