Lacie Messerly is a quilter and podcaster. Her show motto "You can sit with us" is a call to welcome all quilters who feel like they're not welcomed or invited in some quilty spaces. Lacie started with other hobbies, such as cross-stitching, scrapbooking, and painting wooden signs. As a stay-at-home mom, Lacie was looking for something new to do, so reached out to her mom for help learning how to quilt. After rage quitting for a few years, Lacie picked it back up again and started sharing her makes in 2015 on Instagram. With some experience under her belt with making some t-shirt quilts and the infamous "Lips" quilt, Lacie formed Messy Quilts in 2022. In 2023, Ashelyn, Lacie's sister-in-law invited her to create a podcast to talk about quilting. The Grateful Thread podcast was launched with quick growth and a devoted following of "Thread Heads".
