Julie:  "The hand that rocks the cradle is the hand that rules the world."  And I feel like so many moms know that to be true, but they are really struggling to find principles…We read these books and we have feelings about them and these feelings kind of innately turn towards something that’s good but what’s so exciting is that you can read these things and have those feelings, but then you can actually go deeply and look for the actual principles that are hiding in there that can be found.  Once that principle is found and you admit it, you understand it, and you study it, it becomes a stronger guide rather than this little feeling that’s kind of guiding you.  It’s an actual truth that’s guiding you.

Audrey:  It’s such a relativistic world.  And unarmed with that skill, it’s easy to fall victim to "It’s my truth.  It’s your truth, and just do your thing.  Just tolerate everything and anything goes."  That’s a recipe for disaster that leads to personal destruction, family destruction and societal destruction.  We’re watching that happen and we want to put the brakes on it...We have a conscience and we have God and we receive answers from him, but He also wants us to do our part.  He wants us to exercise our minds and to put our own effort in and He’ll guide us to the truth if we’ll submit and commit ourselves.

Julie:  The thing I really want to emphasize is He’s already been guiding us but it’s usually through feelings or a few little ideas here and there, but the real change is looking straight, right at that truth, that principle that will even make us make the better choices. 

Audrey:  Because then that’s the foundation, that’s solid, that’s not like "well that felt like a good idea last time but I’m not sure what to do this time."  You have this whole paradigm shift of "actually God puts laws in place and they always guide us and my job is just to find them and I’ll build…this solid foundation"….It’s so empowering.
