The BFI Southbank in London is showing a double-bill of Val Lewton movies on November 21st, 2017: 'Cat People' followed by its sequel, 'Curse Of The Cat People', and seeing as how this year is all about Val Lewton on the podcast, it’s far too good an opportunity to waste, so I’m going, and I’d love it if you could come too. Come and say hi, and we’ll watch some of Lewton’s genius together in the same room.
Tickets have been flying out, so if you want to come to the screening, which starts at 8pm, then FOLLOW THIS LINK and snap up some of the remaining ones. They’re ridiculously cheap, too.
We’ll be meeting up at the Riverfront Bar, which is next to the BFI Southbank, at about 6:15pm for drinks and handshakes and things. Be great to meet you all, plus I’ll be happy to buy the ice creams as I promised, so if you want to simply come along and say hi and talk about James Cagney or Alfred Hitchcock, but you can’t make the actual films, then meet us all at the Riverfront Bar at 6:15pm.
Just tell them you’re with the Secret History Of Hollywood podcast, they’ve very kindly reserved a section with sofas and things for us.
Hopefully see you there!
