Todays episode features women's health specialist, wife and mother, Dr. Melissa Hodeib. Melissa was born in Los Angeles, CA, to Syrian, immigrant parents. Her father ran a liquor store property and her mother, a hairdresser. 

As the first generation of her family to ever graduate college, Melissa received her bachelor’s degree in science at Loyola Marymount University and her medical degree from Western University of Health Sciences. She completed her OBGYN residency, Sub specialty fellowship in GYN Oncology at UCLA and Cedars-Sinai Medical Center.  At only 38, In addition to being a double-board certified gyn- oncologist, Melissa specializes across five areas of women's health, making her essentially a unicorn in her field. If you're not already impressed, I'll add this,  while Melissa could work anywhere, she chose to focus and work in helping underserved communities.
