A sound narrative about participating in Ethiopian weddings. As a child I was put into many family weddings almost 2-3 times a year. I would travel around the North East Coast of the US, or sometimes go to Ethiopia for these weddings. I want to discuss the active sounds of an Ethiopian wedding, and emphasize how overwhelmed I felt in such a large family.

A story about the experience of spending 10 days in silence at a meditation in retreat, "From Silence: Godspeed" follows narrator Satya Hariharan's thoughts and experiences at Dhamma Setu Meditation Centre outside of Chennai India in 2016. As airplanes flew over head many times a day, the one bit of sensory output from the outside led to certain recurring thoughts and sounds in my mind.

The buzzing sound cicadas make have a special meaning for me. Everytime I hear this sound, it reminds me of the guilt-free, care-free days of my childhood. A period in my life which I will always miss.
