Jumped the corporate ship to launch my own little tea company (in a market infatuated with coffee). The money is not like it was, but I am working in an area I love and doing something tangible and perhaps more of an & honest living- helping improve our cuppa. In June 1989 fantastic Toby was born. However during pregnancy Kyprus Nikoladies saw Kelly(Barry Stickings wife) at Kings College Hospital where we were told Toby had a severe kidney condition from a scan whilst in the womb. When Toby was born what we did not expect was the fact that Toby was born without eyes. A condition called Bilateral Anophthalmia.

‘I have always wanted to set up a separate support group to help families and children who have been affected by the one condition Bilateral Anophthalmia the absence of both eyes. So on 13 th February I launched BAAM Bilateral Anophthalmia and Me.’ – Barry Stickings

Pete Hobbs is an ex-service man who was suffering with serious depression after coming out of the army. Back on Track  – the London based charity that helps injured servicemen – sorted out Pete’s affairs, gave him counselling and paid for short term accommodation. This gave Pete the beginning of a new start. Now Jamie Oliver’s protégé Aidan Mannion, Head Chef of Mill & Brew in Mill Hill, London, is taking it to the next stage.

Hearing that Pete was a passionate food blogger and would-be chef, Aidan looked at Pete’s Instagram account and decided that he wanted to help him. Aidan offered Pete some one-to-one time in the kitchen and discovered his talent and immense passion for food.

 Marc Mason BSc (Hons), MSc, MBPsS, Barrister, FHEA joined Westminster Law School in 2013 following a period of practice as a Family Law Barrister specialising in child protection. Marc has studied both law and psychology at postgraduate level and has held research posts at UCL and the Institute of Advanced Legal Studies. He has worked on research projects funded by the Ministry of Justice, the Foreign and Commonwealth Office, and the Nuffield Foundation. 

Kevin was suffering with depression and anxiety after seeing a counselor now feels a lot better and overall generally happy. Feels that from working with a counselor he has improved his overall life and is feeling confident. Kevin was willing to sharing his story, with us, hoping that people will feel uplifted, and not alone, from hearing how he has managed to deal with his issues in an effective way.
