  • Does It Matter How African Americans Psychologically View Africa?

For years in AMERICAN MEDIA the continent of AFRICA has been shown as a place of underdevelopment, disease, and famine to the point where many AFRICAN AMERICANS only view it negatively. MALCOLM X once said, YOU CAN'T HATE THE ROOTS OF A TREE, AND NOT HATE THE ROOTS. If this is true, does it behoove us specifically as BLACK PEOPLE to learn more about our origins, or are we too far removed (400 years) to concern ourselves with this endeavor?  Are BLACK CHILDREN placed at a disadvantage by only learning AMERICAN HISTORY, or do some AFRICAN AMERICANS seek out & romanticize AFRICAN HERITAGE just to feel good about themselves, to cover up their own lack of production in their own lives? Also, will learning about AFRICA in a positive light change the relationship dynamics between AMERICAN DESCEDANTS OF SLAVES (ADOS) & AFRICANS or is too late to bridge that gap? • Parenting Skills: When Doing Your Best Isn't Enough?

Special guest, COGNTIVE BEHAVIORAL THERAPIST, MARILYN ODUENYI and special guest co-host, DR. TIFFANY R. KING (psychology) drop by to give their thoughts on REARING CHILDREN and on how various historical traumas have had a long-lasting impact on how BLACK PARENTS raise children. CHILDREN ARE TO BE SEEN NOT HEARD is the old saying many AFRICAN AMERICANS grew up on, or whenever their parents failed to provide physically, mentally, or emotionally they were told their parents did the best they could. How many children now turned adults were forced to accept behavior from their parents that potentially stunted their own growth throughout ADULTHOOD or worse negatively impacted the way they raised their own children?  What is the correct balance between DISCIPLINE and allowing a child to have a voice within the parent child relationship?  MENTAL DIALOGUE asking the questions America's afraid to ask. • What About The Politics Of Education & Black Boys? (Water Boyz Revisted)

A year ago, during the height of the COVID PANDEMIC, a large number of youths, known as the WATER BOYZ begin selling water at cross sections throughout the CITY of ATLANTA. Eventually due to their aggressive sales tactics, Atlanta MAYOR KEISHA LANCE BOTTOMS labeled them a nuisance and wanted them removed even if it required LAW ENFORCEMENT. Our special guest, KACEY VENNING decided to use her non-profit HELPING EMPOWER YOUTH, along with co-founder MARC KD BOYD to interact with the WATER BOYZ to intervene on their behalf to avoid simply removing the youth by Atlanta's POLICE FORCE. Not only were they successful in intervening on their behalf, but the progress of some of the boys prompted VENNINGS to try to make even more of difference by running for ATLANTA PUBLIC SCHOOL (APS) board. How did they convince the boys to start legitimate businesses and create their own water brand? Did she learn anything from working with the WATER BOYZ that she hopes to use if she becomes an elected official? MENTAL DIALOGUE asking the questions America's afraid to ask. • Why Can't Rappers Talk Down On The LGTBQIA Community, Like They Do All Others?

Rap artist DA BABY recently made some outrageous comments about BLACK WOMEN & MEN during a live performance, but it was his comments questioning the SEXUALITY of the men in his audience that caused him to lose endorsements: and eventually have to apologize to the LGBTQIA community for those comments. LIL BOOSIE said if he were DA BABY he wouldn't have apologize and lashed out at rap artist LIL NAS X for saying he wanted to dance naked for charity while defending DA BABY. Rap artist TI also came to DA BABY's defense suggesting he has a right to speak his mind, and asked is this backlash against DA BABY a case of the LGBTQIA community BULLYING the HETEROSEXUAL community? Is the LGTBQIA community a more protected class in America than AFRICAN AMERICANS?  Should DA BABY have apologized or not? MENTAL DIALOGUE asking the questions America's afraid to ask.
