Today's guest is Nikki Walker, the Director of Community Engagement & DEI at Domo and the Founder of NWPR & Consulting.
A year ago, Nikki became weighed down with burnout, exhaustion, and was not taking care of herself like she knew she should. She checked herself into a mental health facility for 35 days, and this experience changed her life and opened up new opportunities to talk about empowerment, mental health, and to help others overcome their challenges.
Workplaces need to have a plan in place for helping their employees avoid burnout, and many workplaces offer free counseling for their employees. HR departments are full of those who want to help their employees have a healthy, happy worksite.
Nikki and her other amazing co-authors wrote "Awareness Put Me On" that you can read for yourself to learn more about some amazing journeys!
