Pastor Chad will show us that no one is justified before God by works but exclusively through faith in Jesus Christ. This was the message of Paul to the Galatians who defaulting back to trusting in works through the law instead of faith alone in the person and work. And this is the message we need to regularly preach to ourselves, and to others, because we too have a default tendency to trust in works instead of faith in Christ alone, sola fide.

Because the Gospel is for man, not from man; received, not achieved; Jesus-centered, not culture-centered; and a team sport, not a one-man show.

Lead Pastor Chad Allen opens the Summer 2018 teaching series "Liberated" in the book of Galatians with a look at Galatians 1:1-10. Pastor Chad will show us that if we're gullible with the Gospel, then we will desert Christ for a distorted Gospel, and if we're Gospel-wise, then we will hold fast to the true Gospel of Christ. The "Foolish" Galatians allowed the Judaizers to sway them away from Christ's Gospel of grace to a Jewish Gospel of works, and Paul was bringing correction and clarity to them on this issue.

CVC Pastor of Care and Connections Dean Siley shares with us that perseverance and faithfulness protects the covenant of marriage from Malachi 2:10-16 in the last week of "In the Ring," the teaching series on marriage. We can be unfaithful to each other. We are marrying unbelievers. We committing unbiblical divorce, which God had been a witness. God's covenant with us includes both blessings for obedience, and consequences for disobedience. And yet, when we disobeys, we question why the Lord does not accept their offering. God's people are defying Him, then blaming Him for the end results!

Lead Pastor Chad Allen guides us through the third week of the marriage series "In the Ring' as he looks at Song of Solomon 2:8-17. Pastor Chad will show us how to cultivate a passionate marriage, and that a couple that tends to their marriage will keep romantic passion alive.

CVCYouth and Missions Pastor Joe Valenti brings us the second message in the "In the Ring" series on Biblical marriage. Joe will be looking at selected passages from Ephesians, Matthew and Colossians as he shows us that the only way to truly guard your marriage is to ensure that it is a Christian marriage that reflects the love of God. His charge to all of us is to "Keep Your Guard Up."

Lead Pastor Chad Allen begins a new teaching series on marriage by showing us from Genesis 2 and 3 that God's presence helps our marriages be more like a garden than an octagon. The best way to experience God's presence as a couple is through praying together.

Founding Pastor Rick Duncan closes out our series on Big Questions with a look into whether or not Christianity truly is the only way to heaven. We know that Christianity is not alone in claiming exclusivity. Instead of focusing on how unjust exclusivity may seem, we ought to focus instead on how gracious God is to provide a way for rebellious sinners to be reconciled to Him at all. Christianity is exclusively inclusive. Whosoever will may come.

Lead Pastor Chad Allen continues in our Big Questions series by tackling a rampant complaint against the church: hypocrisy. One of the biggest obstacles to Christianity is the disconnect between what Christians profess to believe and how it plays out in their lifestyle and behaviors. Believers need to do their best to remove any hurdles they have allowed to reflect poorly on the glory of Christ by what they chose to do and don't do.
