We’re joined today by Bobby Barnes, Head of Quant Index Solutions, and Kevin Robertson, Quantitative Analyst. Bobby provides a brief background of quantitative analysis and investing at Fidelity and how quant investing led to the launch of factor ETFs. The main focus of today’s discussion is centered around the metaverse – a virtual world with real opportunities. Kevin explains to host Pat Bolland how this “more immersive version of the internet” is demonstrating the progression of augmented and virtual reality, and also reflects on centralized vs. de-centralized, NFTs, among other topics. Bobby and Kevin also look at how the metaverse is investable and how it all relates to factor investing, thematic investing, and cryptocurrencies.
