We are living in a world where 'hustling' and 'being the hardest worker in the room' has become the status quo in workplaces, the gym and life in general. The questions is though, where do we draw the line between being productive and being addicted to being busy?
Quite often we can feel as though our level of 'success' is defined by being busy, always having something to do but what if we considered the definition of success to mean something else entirely?
Each of us have our own versions of success and in this chat we discuss how 'hustle culture' can cause us to lose sight of what that is. And most importantly, we explore how "hustle culture' has taught us to NEVER stop, even if it leads to complete burn out.

"It is only a flaw if you consider it to be”, In this episode we flesh out the extremely common & completely normal, skin variation that is cellulite.
We take a deep dive into the history of cellulite, where and when it first became something that majority of women in particular, were made to feel conscious of.
Often spoke about in todays world, particularly on social media, with efforts to ‘embrace’ cellulite being applauded as ‘confidence’. We challenge this trend of pointing out ‘flaws’ in the name of self love and self acceptance, because perhaps self acceptance begins when we realise that these normal parts of our body were never flaws to begin with.

For the most part, starting anything for the very first time can be really hard and whilst fitness is exciting, its no exception to this rule. Deciding to better yourself comes with unfamiliar territory, vulnerability and a whole host of emotions to wrap it all up in one.
In this episode Jess & Jarrod discuss their top tips on how to make your transition into fitness as smooth and as exciting as possible.
We believe training and fitness should be used in a way to better yourself to 'grow', as opposed to punishing yourself to just 'change'.
We cover areas such as where to start, why you are choosing to begin your fitness journey, realistic expectations and how to avoid quick fixes.

Extremes are easy, balance is hard.
In this episode we unravel the recently trending term that is self care. Something that we believe is necessary for all, however is also quite misunderstood, especially when blasted (but not explored very well) across social media memes and messaging.
Whilst short term gratification can soothe our immediate perceived needs, it pays to look ahead to see if our choices are in fact setting us up for possibly consistent negative cycles as well.
We look at different forms of self care and discuss which could be the better options, depending on the person's own situation.

In this episode we discuss the trends and terms that have been associated as 'ideals' for women's bodies and their appearance. From the 90's when being 'skinny' was idolised to the 2000's where larger bodies began to be embraced and to now, terms such as 'slim thick' being used more heavily on social media.
The challenge that arises is that trends, fads and expectations of women's bodies change over time and whilst your body will also change over the course of your life there is a good chance that it will not always suit the current trend that is in season.
We've realised that aiming to suit such trends and failing to meet such unrealistic expectations results more so in disappointment, feelings of low self-worth and exclusion and can lead to severe body dysmorphia issues.
Rather than trying to fit into a warped world of filters, photoshop and ideals that can be heavily influenced by your genetic makeup, focussing your efforts towards your own personal health and fitness goals can be a much more sustainable and ultimately fulfilling path.
