Welcome to Surge’s Faith, Work, and Rest podcast. Our goal is to help ordinary people discern their vocations and reimagine their occupations for the good of their neighbors and the glory of God.
In this episode we listen to a conversation between Michael Goheen, Josh Butler, and Jim about the cultural idol of consumerism and how it impacts Christian living today.
Michael Goheen is Director of Theological Education (MTC) and Scholar-in-Residence (Surge Network). He divides his time between Vancouver, B.C. and Tempe, AZ. He’s the author of several books including The Drama of Scripture, Living at the Crossroads, and A Light to the Nations. He has been married to Marnie for 36 years. He has four adult married children and nine grandchildren.
