The answer should not be the name of someone else's company. You should work for yourself and your family. You should work for the causes you care about. You should work for your personal mission.
Even when I have worked for other people, I always maintained a mindset that I was a business owner, and my one person business had an exclusive client with whom we had a mutually profitable arrangement.
If you think of yourself as working for yourself then you are less likely to accept low pay, poor conditions, and bad treatment.
The confidence of thinking like a boss gives you leverage, and a more equal relationship makes you a better worker and makes the whole company stronger.
Whom do you work for? Hopefully yourself.
