Mid-Days On The Fanatic

Today on The Anthony Gargano Show, Dei Lynam fills in for the Cuz with the help of co-host Kevin Cooney, and Ray Dunne producing the show. They open the show discussing the Eagles matchup with the Cowboys on Christmas Eve and the injury to Jalen Hurts (00:00-22:44).

Next, they talk to the city about the Birds before switching over to talk to some callers about the 76ers rotations and PJ Tucker, before circling back to finish with some Eagles talk (22:44-47:03:39).

The eleven o’clock hour begins with the crew talking to the city about the Eagles game and the Hurts injury some more, and continues by contemplating the Eagles’ potential usage of the run game in tomorrow’s game.  The first half of the hour ends with some general NBA discussion and the Sixers current win streak during their home stretch (47:03-1:10:42).

The bottom half of the hour starts with the crew talking about the NBA Christmas day games this year and Dei’s travel advice from her days covering the 76ers. The conversation pivots back to the Eagles versus Cowboys game, and poses a question about potentially writing off the threat of Dallas in the postseason if the Eagles win this week with a backup QB. The second hour concludes with Dei, Kevin, and Ray bringing up their grievances this year with the Philadelphia sports teams (1:10:42-1:33:16).

The third hour of the show starts with discussion about what to expect from Gardner Minshew on Saturday and the severity of the injury to the shoulder of Jalen Hurts. They talk to the city on the phones about both topics and discuss the offensive game plan with Minshew at the helm. Next, they change to topic to the Sixers for a bit and look back on the team’s previous choices to pick Ben Simmons and Markelle Fultz first overall. The top half of the third hour concludes with the show talking about betting lines around the league and the mind boggling play the New England Patriots lost with this past weekend (1:33:16-1:56:00).
