  • Week 18: To Play or Not to Play

(00:00-11:27) It’s a Football Friday, but self-proclaimed “football guy” Andrew Salciunas does not want to play the Eagles’ starters even with the division still alive.

(11:31-33:26)  A huge reason for resting players is the fear of MetLife turf, 17 players have had serious injuries there in the last 2 years.

(33:26-1:19:28) Ultimately, Andrew doesn’t think anything that happens Sunday can fix this team.  Nick Sirianni has his Friday press conference and the team reacts.

(1:19:51-1:41:30) It’s possible a week off could be what this team needs, and a loser Vikings fan calls in!

(1:41:31-2:06:04) Are we being too hard on Nick Sirianni from a macro perspective? i.e. would Mike Tomlin have already been fired if he was the Eagles head coach?  ESPN Reporter Tim McManus joins the Midday Show to preview the Eagles' week 18 matchup. Who's healthy, can we expect the starters to play, and all around what is the vibe surrounding the team following AJ Brown's media availability?

(2:06:06-2:27:08) Andrew quickly touches on the Sixers and a Raptor is on the market. Ray brings up the possibility of treating Sunday like a pre-season game.

(2:27:09-2:55:13)  Andrew & Ray give their finishing thoughts on the Eagles game, then go around the league to make their picks for this weekends’ slate.

  • Howie is NOT Blameless

(00:00-11:00) People are all fired up about AJ Brown’s press conference, why should we believe the whole team is fixed suddenly?  Andrew’s focus today shifts from the coaching staff to the roster construction and calls Howie Roseman into question.

(11:10-32:30) Yes, Howie found Jalen in the 2nd round and rebuilt the receiving core, but how did he believe this defense was passable.  Are fans not addressing real problems and simply scapegoating coaches?

(32:45-53:34)  Andrew plays some audio from AJ Brown’s encouraging media availability.  Will there be an individual award winner in Philadelphia in the year 2024?

(54:01- 1:39:46) It is Thursday, but the play calling down the stretch of the Cardinals game is still baffling.  The team looks at how the national media views the Eagles compared to all the other playoff teams in the NFL.

(1:40:16- 2:21:44) Who in Philly sports are on the hot seat? Is Sirianni?  Andrew & Ray seem to think both the HC and OC will be here through next year.

(2:22:20-2:52:58) Andrew says he doesn't believe the Eagles starters should suit up in week 18.  Andrew resets the topic and brings everything back to Howie Roseman.

(33:26-53:52) Do you rest your starters against the New York Giants with the two seed still possible? Callers weigh in with their thoughts along with Andrew and Ray.

(53:59-1:16:39) David Tepper did something stupid this weekend, and to try and lighten the mood Andrew asks what’s the stupidest thing you’ve ever done in a stadium.

(1:16:42-1:38:30) The calls continue about resting the starts and Matt Breen from the Inquirer joins to talk about the birds.

(1:38:38-2:12:09) Nick Sirianni speaks to the media.

(2:12:12-2:22:39) Andrew and Ray react to the press conference. AJ speaks to the media.

(34:39:52 – 54:17:03 ) They break out a couple of clips from the Eagles players and coaches from the weekend and try to find meaning behind their answers. Is this team dead? Can the locker room bring it back together?

(54:24:72 – 1:17:41) Andrew isn’t ready to fire Nick Sirianni but its past due on a change happening in this Eagles Locker room. Then they have Jeff McLane from the Philadelphia Inquirer on the show to give an insider look into this collapse.

(1:17:49 – 1:37:27) We All thought the Eagles were loaded up with talent on defense, but as we go week to week that doesn’t seem to be the case. Is this due to the lack of depth at positions or is there just no “Star” players on that side of the ball?

(1:37:44 – 2:02:08) Eagles Offensive Coordinator Brian Johnson has been under heavy pressure over this season. What has changed so much in this offense that has made his job such a struggle to right the ship?
