    4. SOUNDBITE (Hebrew) Eliran Bar, father of premature baby:
“I have a three-week-old premature baby. He was born on Saturday three weeks ago exactly. He is sweet and tiny. When all the problems started yesterday, the firing (of missiles), we came down from the premature baby department on the top floor to the underground facility. At the moment the baby is calm, he was a bit agitated yesterday, he probably felt it, hoping for the best.”
    5. Various of hospital
    STORYLINE:
On the day Israel launched a blistering surprise attack on Iranian nuclear and military sites, authorities moved patients at a medical center in Ramat Gan to a four-floor underground facility in anticipation of an Iranian response.
The Center's underground facility has the capability to treat hundreds of patients.
Those who have already been moved include patients from the Paediatric Intensive Care unit, maternity facility and orthopaedic department, while patients from the above-ground cardio wards are expected to also relocate.
Iran retaliated to the Israeli attacks by launching waves of drones and ballistic missiles at Israel, where explosions lit the night skies over Jerusalem and Tel Aviv and shook buildings.
The Israeli military urged civilians, already rattled by the war in Gaza sparked by Hamas’ October 7 attack, to head to shelter for hours.
Health officials said three people were killed and dozens wounded.
“I have a three-week-old premature baby. He was born on Saturday three weeks ago exactly. He is sweet and tiny. When all the problems started yesterday, the firing (of missiles), we came down from the premature baby department on the top floor to the underground facility. At the moment the baby is calm, he was a bit agitated yesterday, he probably felt it, hoping for the best," said Eliran Bar, the father of a three-week-old premature baby who was moved to the underground facility at the Sheba Medical Center.
Israel warned of more attacks on Iran on Saturday.
Israel said hundreds of airstrikes over the past two days also killed nine senior scientists and experts involved in Iran’s nuclear program, in addition to several top generals.
Iran’s U.N. ambassador said 78 people were killed and more than 320 wounded.
The U.S. and Iran had been scheduled to hold their sixth round of indirect talks over Iran’s nuclear program on Sunday in Oman, but Oman's foreign minister said the meeting would no longer take place following the strikes.

English: "We are now in Bat Yam, I feel like a disaster."
Hebrew "Here in Bat Yam a ballistic missile fell on a residential neighborhood. There are dead, injured, dozens of injured, and now they are trying to locate everyone among the ruins. There are volunteers here, the army, police, and fire department. We are doing our best to locate everyone, hoping with the help of God that everyone will be healthy and safe. And the people of Israel are strong, the people of Israel are alive. Hoping for good news."
    6. Various of workers in building clearing rubble
    STORYLINE:
At least 10 people were killed in Iranian strikes overnight and into Sunday in Israel, according to Israel’s Magen David Adom rescue service, bringing the country’s total death toll to 13.
At least six people, including two children, were killed when a missile hit an apartment building in Bat Yam, near Tel Aviv. Daniel Hadad, a local police commander, said 180 people were wounded and seven are still missing.
An Associated Press reporter saw streets lined with damaged and destroyed buildings, bombed out cars and shards of glass. Responders used a drone at points to look for survivors. Some people could be seen leaving the area with suitcases.
Israel has a sophisticated multi-tiered missile defense system that is able to intercept most projectiles fired at it, but officials have always said it is imperfect.
Four people were killed when an Iranian missile struck a building in the northern Israeli town of Tamra and another 24 were wounded.
A strike on the central city of Rehovot wounded 42 people.
The Weizmann Institute of Science, an important center for research in Rehovot, said “there were a number of hits to buildings on the campus.” It said no one was harmed.
Israel unleashed airstrikes across Iran for a third day and threatened even greater force as some Iranian missiles evaded Israeli air defenses to strike buildings in the heart of the country.
The region braced for a protracted conflict after Israel’s surprise bombardment of Iran’s nuclear and military sites on Friday killed several top generals and nuclear scientists, and neither side showed any sign of backing down.
Israel reportedly targeted a gas installation, raising the prospect of a broader assault on Iran’s heavily-sanctioned energy industry that could affect global markets.

    STORYLINE:
Tensions were escalating on the streets of downtown Los Angeles as police sought to disperse demonstrators, many of whom seemed caught off guard by the abrupt orders to leave.
Police on horseback pushed protesters back. As police fired flash bangs and canisters of tear gas, protesters responded with loud fireworks and calls to “hold the line.”
Masses of demonstrators packed into streets, parks and plazas across the U.S. on Saturday to protest against President Donald Trump, marching through downtown areas and small towns, blaring anti-authoritarian chants mixed with support for protecting democracy and immigrant rights.
Confrontations were isolated. But police in Los Angeles, where protests over federal immigration enforcement raids erupted a week earlier and sparked demonstrations across the country, used tear gas and crowd-control munitions to clear out protesters after the formal event ended.
What caused police to move to clear protesters hours before the previous day’s 8pm curfew was not clear.

    STORYLINE:
Israel and Iran exchanged attacks for a third consecutive day on Sunday with Iranian missiles piercing Israeli air defenses and slamming into buildings deep inside the country.
Local media reported that an Iranian ballistic missile hit a home in the northern city of Tamra, east of Haifa, killing one woman and injuring 13 others.
Footage showed first responders at the scene of the strike on Sunday morning.
The region braced for a drawn-out conflict after Israel’s surprise strikes on Friday hit nuclear and military facilities, killing several senior generals and top nuclear scientists.
Iran says dozens of civilians have been killed, including civilians.
The all-out attacks come after weeks of escalating tensions between Israel and Iran over Iran's nuclear program.
Iran announced Thursday that it planned to activate a third nuclear enrichment facility shortly after the U.N. nuclear watchdog censured Iran for failing to comply with nonproliferation obligations.
